COMMITTEES

Are you looking for the best fit opportunities to apply your skills at ACMA? Are you a party planner? Or would you rather take tickets at an event? Or do you know a lot of people and could invite them to help or donate?
We need your help! Below are the committees that we need to fill with volunteers.
Spectacular Fundraiser Committee

The Spectacular committee plans the PTO’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the ACMA Spectacular. The committee plans and manages all aspects of the Spectacular with the exception of the Spectacular show itself. The committee develops and manages the ticketing process, handles all marketing and communications for the event, designs and produces the lobby experience, manages the production of the event programs, coordinates all fundraising for the event, and curates and coordinates any silent auction portions of the event.

This committee is perfect for:

Party planners/party enthusiasts, those good with a to-do list, anyone with retail experience, and anyone who wants to help whip a huge fundraiser together by February 7, 2020. Members can expect coordination via email/shared documents and 1-2 meetings a month until January when meetings (both by phone and in person) will be more frequent.

This committee is perfect for:

Anyone with the ability to make a year-long commitment to fundraising. Those who find it easy to ask others to support a great cause. Members can expect coordination via email/shared documents and approximately one meeting (either by phone or in person) per month.

Performing Arts Center Capital Improvement Plan Committee

The Performing Arts Center (PAC), serves all of ACMA’s art forms as the location of recitals, readings, gallery shows, performances, assemblies, graduation and more. While our new school is being built, the PAC will sit empty, receiving no improvements as part of the new school building. In coordination with school administration and staff, the PAC CIP committee will create a capital improvement plan and will work to raise funds to make the improvements possible.

This committee is perfect for:

Parents, students, friends of ACMA, and members of the community who like longer-range projects with some of the coordination and planning done via email and shared documents. The PAC CIP committee has a membership commitment of a minimum of two years.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Committee

The Teacher and Staff Appreciation committee organizes all teacher/staff appreciation celebrations throughout the year. The committee makes a yearly plan for lunches, parties, or other events that let teachers and staff know how much the school community appreciates them. Once a plan for the year is set, the committee manages the appreciation events, works with the school community to raise money for the appreciation events, and coordinates volunteers (with the help of the PTO volunteer coordinator).

This committee is perfect for:

Anyone who enjoys celebrating the fantastic teachers and staff of our great school. Members can expect coordination via email/shared documents and participation in the appreciation celebrations throughout the year.
